RCE in collaboration with Texas Heart Institute's research team, is thrilled with the opportunity to have presented the poster titled: "A Novel Telemedicine Platform for Real-Time Cardiac Injury Biomarker Monitoring." at the Graft preservation in Heart Transplant at the Gordon Research Conference.
The preclinical studies involved understanding the trend of cardiac biomarkers during infarction in porcine models. The strong correlation between RCE's wearable reported values and laboratory measured values provide key insights into the application of continuous non-invasive biomarker monitoring in cardiovascular events.
A continuous monitoring system like this could help with prevention of primary graft dysfunction (PGD) in the future. This opens the possibilities for trending patient's cardiac Troponin post heart transplant procedures, as well as monitoring the heart's health when integrated with heart transporters while in transit.
